Mr. Clark is an associate at Downs & Stanford P.C. focusing on insurance litigation, employer defense, and workers’ compensation defense. He has established his practice with a wide range of experience. Mr. Clark previously served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC), where he presided over more than 2,000 contested case hearings across the state and was twice awarded the Administrative Law Judge of the Year. He subsequently worked in DWC’s Legal Services Division, assisting with complex litigation matters, compliance issues, and serving as counsel for the agency’s Designated Doctor program. In addition to his extensive workers’ compensation background, Mr. Clark practiced Social Security Disability law, appearing at hearings across 35 states nationwide. He has been a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs, including the State Bar of Texas Workers’ Compensation Advanced Course and the Workers’ Compensation 101 Program.
Britt earned his B.A. in Government and Politics, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he received the Academic Excellence in Debate Scholarship. He went on to attend Baylor Law School, where he was awarded the Leon Jaworski Scholarship for Outstanding Undergraduate Advocates.
When away from the office, Mr. Clark enjoys cooking, karaoke, and spending time with his wife and son.
